Come and experience the beauty inside our bodies as we examine true examples of real human anatomy.
Get curious and inspired about anatomy, health and science as you get to hold a brain in your hands and see our heart strings.
In this program, Experience Anatomy: The World Inside Your Body, we will tour real human anatomical specimens with the guidance of our well informed and engaging anatomist, Fauna Moore. Fauna specializes in teaching anatomy to students who have not been formally trained in the subject, making her lectures easy to understand and appropriate for all levels of learners. This program is for everyone interested in anatomy ages 8 and up.
The specimens we will be examining have been preserved through the process of plastination from the creators of the famed Body Worlds exhibition. The process renders perfect examples of true human anatomy made from cadaveric tissue. These specimens are dry, odorless, and safe to the touch.
This free program will be held at Marion Diehl Recreation Center, 2219 Tyvola Rd, Charlotte NC 28210
